Probable septic loosening of acetabulum (Total Hip Replacement)

  • Abnormal perfusion and intense delayed tracer uptake at the acetabulum bone-prosthesis interface suggestive of loosening (possibly septic)
  • FDG PET/CT scan is advised to assess for underlying infection.
